The Department of Psychology is based in the heart of the West End in Central London, in the Faculty of Science and Technology. It comprises over 40 academic staff and researchers, 2 technicians and a diverse, multicultural student population.   The Department offers British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in psychology, cognitive and clinical psychology, and health psychology. We also offer postgraduate degrees in business psychology. We have particular strengths in ‘added value’ and employability. 
The Department has a friendly and supportive staff team and fosters a dynamic interaction between teaching and research.  Research areas span the full breath of psychology including psychobiology and health psychology, cognitive neuroscience, social and business psychology. We have a wide range of technical resources including EEG, EMG and TMS facilities, eye tracking systems, CANTAB cognitive assessment software, a qualitative research laboratory,  a number of research cubicles and a sound attenuated research laboratory.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual in any area of Health Psychology who is passionate about both teaching and research. The postholder will primarily teach on the MSc Health Psychology but also contribute to undergraduate programmes, including research methods teaching, work placements and project supervision.  The postholder is also expected to conduct research and engage in other scholarly activities as part of their role.
The postholder will hold a BPS accredited psychology degree (or equivalent) and a PhD/Stage 2 Qualification, or be close to completion. Previous experience in teaching and research is essential, and ideally the postholder will have practitioner or research experience within the health sector. Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Health Psychologist is desirable.
