The Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment (FABE) is one of the country’s leading centres for teaching and research in the disciplines that inform the design and development of our cities. 

Through this post we invite applications from candidates to join the Department of Planning and Transport for a year and contribute teaching and research in the area of planning and/or urban design. We welcome applications with relevant postgraduate degrees, professional experience, and an evident capacity to teach.

This fixed-term Lecturer position involves teaching, doing lectures, participating in seminars, and providing dissertation supervision on subjects related to urban planning and urban design. You will lecture to students, assist with tutoring students individually and in groups, and mark student work. You will participate in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

You will hold a good first degree in a discipline relating to planning and/or urban design, as well as a postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification. A record of experience in research, teaching and/or practice is required.
