For the University to provide an outstanding student experience, first-class support from Finance is essential. As Management Accounts Analyst, you will play a key role by overseeing the operational delivery of all aspects of Management analysis, project management and statutory financial reporting. 
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience of management accounting within a large organisation (£100m + turnover). 

You will have experience in supporting the year-end close process, producing detailed reconciliations of all main balance sheet accounts and liaising with external auditors. In addition, you will be expected to maintain business as usual running a dedicated team of four individuals who provide various management accounting, financial and related services mentioned in the job description. 

In addition to possessing advanced, excel skills you will have a strong background in the use of a computerised financial management reporting systems, in particular knowledge of Agresso financial systems. 
We are looking for somebody with the ability to work under pressure to meet strict reporting deadlines, be flexible taking into account changing and evolving circumstances and have the people skills to motivate and coordinate a team of four staff members.

Knowledge of VAT and Corporation tax returns would be an advantage but not essential.
