This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.  

The University has an exciting opportunity for an information compliance professional to join our supportive and welcoming team and play a leading role in developing and delivering an effective information compliance framework in support of the University’s business and risk strategies.
  
As Information Compliance Manager, you will be the named Freedom of Information Officer and Data Protection Officer for the University. You will be our technical specialist, providing advice and guidance to university colleagues, managers and committees at all levels on the requirements of Freedom of Information, Environmental Information and Data Protection legislation, liaising with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as required. 

You will join an effective multidisciplinary department that works with different colleagues across the University. You will work in partnership with colleagues in the Information Systems and Support and the Archives and Records Management teams to promote good information compliance across the University.

You should have a sound understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and experience of developing and implementing organisational policies and procedures in relevant areas. You should also have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, experience of managing a team, and a solution-focused approach to your work. Working with busy teams, you will need to be able to prioritise tasks, work to tight deadlines and be flexible to changing workloads.

You will be based in Central London and we have a Smart Working approach that allows for some remote working in the UK when you are not required onsite.
