Development Officer (Trusts & Foundations)

The University of Westminster is recruiting a Development Officer (Trusts and Foundations) to join its award-winning Development and Alumni Relations Team.

This role is responsible for securing philanthropic income from grant-making trusts and charitable foundations to support the delivery of a range of projects, which improve the student experience and support the local community in which we operate. In addition to this, the role will oversee the coordination of a broad range of projects funded by the Quintin Hogg Trust (QHT) to support the maximum possible drawdown of funds, against project expenditure, from the Trust.

The post holder will have a successful track record of securing gifts in the five or six figure range, and will be able to work independently to manage and prioritise their own workload in order to meet competing deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the post holder will be responsible for building and maintaining excellent working relationships across the University. The ability to analyse financial data will also be essential for the role. In return, the University offers a generous remuneration package including 35 days of annual leave per year, opportunities for personal and professional development, and a central London location.
