Prospect Research and Stewardship Officer (Major Gifts)

The University of Westminster is recruiting a Prospect Research and Stewardship Officer to join its award-winning Development and Alumni Relations Team.

This role is responsible for identifying and prioritising potential donors with the capacity to donate at ambitious levels to support the delivery of a range of projects which improve the student experience and support the local community in which we operate. Through providing the Development Team with bespoke and insightful research, this role will help to strengthen the prospect pipeline and support the cultivation of a range of prospective donors including individuals, grant-making trusts and companies.

The role will also oversee a structured programme of stewardship activities for donors supporting the University with gifts of £1,000 per annum and more as part of the ‘Robert Mitchell Society’ and ‘George Cayley’ circle giving groups. These activities will include the timely processing and acknowledgement of donations, bespoke report writing, and organising donor recognition events to improve donor retention.

The post holder will be able to analyse large sets up data and will have excellent research, written and organisational skills and the ability to deliver against strict deadlines. The post holder will also have a proven track record of identifying and stewarding major donors.
