This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week. 

We are looking to recruit a Student Accommodation Team Leader, working within our Residential Life Team providing a professional housing service to our students and staff. 

You will be expected to supervise a frontline customer service accommodation team with high standards and excellent customer care and organisational skills.  You will be responsible for the effective allocation of university rooms, maximising occupancy and income including our nominated partner rooms and referral accommodation.  

You will also be responsible to ensure the student accommodation webpage is current and relevant.  You will be required to supervise the return of resident’s deposit refunds and have proven finance experience. You will be responsible for our private accommodation database, liaising with landlords to ensure the accommodation is safe, compliant and secure and available for students and staff to view. To provide information on housing sector practices, particularly the UUK code and UNUK.

This is a varied and challenging role which will involve liaising with a wide range of clients, supervising a team of staff and will require excellent communication skills. You will need to have previous experience working in a similar Student Accommodation office as a Team Leader/Supervisory role, with a relevant degree.  You must be computer literate and be an experienced user of StarRez or a user of a similar student accommodation software package.  You will also be experienced in creating and delivering presentation and housing workshops.  You will need to be able to organise and prioritise and work well under pressure.
