This post is part time and permanent, working 28 hours per week. 

The working days/hours are to be agreed with the successful applicant and there is flexibility on what hours and days are worked. However the post holder will be required to work on a Friday to suit the teams working patterns. The post will also work in a hybrid manner with a mix of home and on site working. The post holder would be expected to attend site weekly for 2 or more days, project dependent. 

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, self-motivated, flexible and creative individual to join the Development, Planning and Operations team within the Library and Archives Services. 

University of Westminster is currently undergoing exciting changes to their library sites, including investment and development of spaces to meet students needs. We are ambitious with our plans for the future and the successful post holder will need an understanding of the future of academic libraries.

You will be responsible for library spaces, and will strive to ensure they are accessible and fit for purpose for our community. You will work with our Estates and Safety, Health and Wellbeing teams to ensure the libraries are safe, welcoming and open to all our stakeholders. You will lead a small team to coordinate works on any issues which may arise and have demonstrable understanding of how to maintain and oversee spaces for users.

You will have proven experience of projects and working to deadlines. You will also take an active role in a range of working groups, and be confident in prioritising tasks, solving problems and making decisions based on experience and knowledge of procedures.
