The Work Experience and Placement Officer is an important and varied role that will involve working with students, university staff, employers, recruiters and partner organisations to design, deliver and monitor the provision of work based learning at the University. Working within the Work Experience and Recruiter Engagement Team (part of the Careers and Employability Service previously the Career Development Centre), alongside two other Work Experience and Placement Officers and two Recruiter Engagement Officers, with line management responsibility for 2 members of staff, the Work Experience and Recruiter Engagement Coordinator and Administrator. 

We are recruiting for a Work Experience and Placement Officer to primarily support the newly formed College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries (Previously the School of Media, Art and Design, Architecture Department, Computer Science and Software Engineering Department, Tourism and Events Department). This post will be based at both our Harrow and Central London Campuses. 

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role in an academic or relevant business environment, successful relationship management, advising individuals and/or groups and supervising and/or managing staff. They will be able to demonstrate an excellent business acumen and knowledge of good practice in relation to employability and work based learning in Higher Education, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a pro-active and flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring quality and attention to detail.
