This post is part-time and Fixed Term, working 10.5 hours per week in term-time only. The salary stated above is the pro-rata amount, the full-time salary would be £41,086 to £46,542 per annum (Incl. LWA).

The University of Westminster is seeking a skilled Ceramics Technician to work in 3D Workshops.

Working as part of a supportive and experienced technical team, you will: induct students into safe working practices within the ceramics area; deliver skills-based workshops and provide day-to-day technical guidance; maintain the ceramics facilities, including preparation of materials and firing of kilns; support a positive, safe, and creative environment for students from across art and design disciplines.

You’ll bring strong practical ceramics experience and a good understanding of studio operations and health and safety in a workshop context. Experience in kiln operation and firing schedules is essential, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with students at varying levels of skill and confidence.
