To strengthen our commitment to delivering high quality education and research we are seeking to recruit talented and enthusiastic individuals to join our experienced and dedicated team of academic staff.  You will be involved in the development and delivery of a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of construction and surveying.  You will also be expected to contribute to our research and knowledge transfer activities.

Currently we are seeking to maintain and develop our expertise in the delivery of Construction Management, Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management and Construction Technology modules. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates that have contractor side Commercial Management experience.

You will have academic qualifications in a relative field, appropriate experience in the construction industry or its associated professions, and full membership of a related Professional Body. Academic experience is not essential, but you will have outstanding communication skills and a commitment to excellence and innovation in learning and teaching, putting student experience at the heart of everything you do. 

As a Senior Lecturer, you will be expected to develop and lead modules and work closely with Course Leaders and other members of the course team. You will initiate and manage the development of teaching materials, methods and assessments and where appropriate develop, mentor and coordinate the work of less experienced colleagues to ensure that teaching is delivered to high quality standards. Duties will include marking and giving feedback, acting as a personal tutor and mentor and providing pastoral support to students. You will also be expected to engage in subject, professional or pedagogic research, industry liaison or other scholarly activities to support your teaching.

Lecturers will be expected to work closely with Course Leaders, Module Leaders and other members of the course team.
