This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week. 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team. The role sits within our Global Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing and Communications directorate, but you will also be working closely with multiple internal stakeholders and teams across the University, including professional services and academic staff. 

You will take ownership of the University’s social media strategy, ensuring it’s closely aligned to our marketing, brand and university vision. You will be skilled and experienced in planning, creating, analysing and reporting on content across social channels. You will be the social media lead for telling our brand story across, showcasing interesting and meaningful content, and supporting student recruitment targets.  

Managing a Social Media Executive, you will work with them to manage the University’s social media platforms, ensuring you’re always aware of social media and marketing trends and digital developments. You will contribute to and manage both organic and paid social media campaigns. 

From videos to static content, you will be an excellent content creator and be confident working with students, staff and external bodies to produce innovative and engaging, high quality content. You will possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability work under pressure, on time and to the highest standards. The role will suit an enthusiastic, tech-savvy and organised individual who understands and appreciates the needs and role of social media within a university environment by being both proactive and reactive – with the ability to prioritise accordingly.
