The Strategy, Planning & Performance (SPP) directorate supports the University’s ambitions by fostering a culture of evidence-led decision-making, with the Business Intelligence & Insight team at the forefront, providing data and research driven insights to inform strategy and enhance performance.
We are seeking a Business Intelligence and Insight Analyst to contribute to the development of high-quality business intelligence and actionable insights that empower decision-making across the University. This role will involve working on a wide range of projects spanning the student lifecycle and broader university strategy.
You will use your expertise in data analysis, visualisation, and reporting to deliver compelling dashboards and insights. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the SPP Directorate and beyond, you will enable the University to monitor progress, evaluate performance, and plan effectively for the future.
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your analytical skills to projects with significant impact. You will query and analyse diverse datasets, including internal information and external sources like HESA, UCAS, and league tables. Your work will help shape the University’s understanding of student recruitment, market and competitor insight, the student lifecycle, and institutional performance against key metrics.
You will play a key role in developing dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Qlik, ensuring stakeholders have the data they need in a clear, accessible format. Your proactive approach to exploring data and delivering insights will directly support the University’s mission and regulatory requirements.
