This post is part time, 21 hours per week and fixed term until 31 July 2023.

This new post has been created to take the responsibility for the maintenance of the student booking system (Engage) within Student and Academic Services (SAS), provide guidance and advice to system users (colleagues and students) across all functionalities and investigate any problems to improve the customer experience and service delivery. This includes supporting with transferring the current Engage Booking System to a new platform in a time frame including roll out to a wider user group. 

The postholder will be based within the Business Operations Team which brings together a variety of services to enable the smooth running of the department to enhance the student experience and support researchers and other colleagues. 

The postholder will also be responsible for the coordination of departmental administrative matters and maintaining the SAS communications page; project support, event management, colleague development events, office systems and other cross-departmental management activities. 

We are looking for someone with a flexible and positive approach, who is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and projects, and learning new skills and who has excellent organisation, prioritising and data analysis skills. The person must have experience of supporting in a management of a booking and appointment system and excellent IT skills. 

The working days/hours are to be agreed with the successful applicant and there is flexibility on what hours and days are worked. However the post holder will be required to work four days per week to suit the teams working patterns. The post will also work in a hybrid manner with a mix of home and on site working. The post holder would be expected to attend site weekly for two days, project dependent.
