We are now looking for a Work Experience and Placements Manager to lead and manage the work placement teams, as part of the Careers and Employability Service. This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the University of Westminster, following expansion of the Work Experience and Recruiter Engagement Team, in view of long-term ambitions to offer every undergraduate student a work-based learning opportunity as part of their studies. Reporting to the Work Experience and Recruiter Engagement Manager, the postholder will have an overview of the work based and placement learning support across the University’s Colleges, ensuring consistency, overseeing processes and focusing on effective, scalable and timely delivery to students.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in a similar role and experience of management and leadership. They will be able to apply their knowledge of relevant quality standards and good practice in relation to Work Based and Placement learning in Higher Education. They will also be able to demonstrate their excellent influencing and negotiation skills, organisational skills and highly developed professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
