This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week 

The Quality and Standards Office plays a key role in the development of the University’s quality assurance and academic regulatory frameworks, including the approval, monitoring and review of courses. It also provides a Committee Secretariat function and supports the University’s three Colleges in meeting their responsibility for quality assurance, academic standards and governance. 

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to join the University to support the delivery of tripartite progress reviews to apprentices in the School of Applied Management working with apprentices and employers on property, construction, real estate and surveying apprenticeships. The Apprenticeship Skills Coach will bring their knowledge of industry to our apprenticeship programmes, working with apprentices to support them to progress throughout the apprenticeship. 

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience and knowledge of what is required by the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) as an End Point Assessment Organisation for apprenticeships. . The candidate will work with academic staff and employers to support our apprentices and nurture their talent. The role will require you to support the negotiation of their learning needs in the workplace and to support each apprentice in a tailored and individual way to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours.

To be effective in this role, you will need to possess CIOB experience, excellent sector or subject knowledge as well as an understanding of professional development achieved through both On-the-Job and Off-the-Job training, professional development and work-based learning (WBL) relevant to your field of expertise.
