As we continue our journey of transformation, we are seeking an inspirational and forward-thinking Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Education, who will lead our ambitious vision for holistic teaching across each of our Colleges and Schools.

Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and President, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a world-class educational experience that empowers our students to succeed in an ever-evolving global landscape. You will drive teaching excellence, student engagement, digital innovation, and academic quality, ensuring Westminster remains at the cutting edge of higher education.

Your Impact

As a key member of the University Executive Board, you will:

  • Lead the strategic development of education at Westminster, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Champion the student experience, working in close partnership with the University of Westminster Students’ Union to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and employability.
  • Maximise the potential of digital learning, ensuring our students benefit from cutting-edge teaching methodologies and technological advancements.
  • Strengthen links with industry, government, and professional bodies, embedding employability and entrepreneurial opportunities at the heart of our curriculum.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring teaching is informed by world-leading research and global perspectives.
  • Play a vital role in institutional leadership, contributing to corporate strategy and serving as a key ambassador for the University.

What We’re Looking For

We seek an exceptional leader with a proven track record in higher education or an equivalent sector. You will bring:

  • Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire staff and students alike.
  • A strong academic or professional reputation, with a commitment to pedagogical excellence.
  • A deep understanding of higher education policy, national and international trends, and the evolving student landscape.
  • Experience in driving strategic change, leading successful teams, and enhancing institutional performance.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
