There are two posts available:

Apprenticeships Engagement and Attendance Coordinator (Full-time) - This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week. 

Student Engagement and Attendance Coordinator (Part-time) - This post is part-time and permanent, working 21 hours per week. The salary stated above is the pro-rata amount, the full time salary would be £34,029 - £38,252 Incl. LWA. 

The full time post focuses on apprentices and the part time post focuses on students. The postholders provide support, guidance, and advice on all aspects of student engagement and attendance monitoring. This includes providing university tutors with information to support students at risk of discontinuing and following up with students who require an intervention. 

Candidates should have a good educational background, experience of problem-solving, and the ability to apply processes to different scenarios. Excellent IT skills and experience of using computerised systems are essential as the postholders will work with a variety of university systems to review and monitor student engagement and attendance.

Successful candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to establish good working relationships with colleagues, students, and external bodies. They must have a customer-focussed, positive, and flexible approach and be able to use tact and discretion when working with sensitive information. 

Candidates should have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise their workload, exercise initiative and work well under pressure whilst ensuring attention to detail.
