This post is full time, 35 hours per week and is fixed term for 12 months. 

We wish to recruit a full-time research assistant to contribute to a project in Quantum Biology. This role will be based at the Research Centre for Optimal Health within the School of Life Sciences at the University of Westminster – New Cavendish campus working with Professors Jimmy Bell, Louise Thomas and Dr Rhys Mould.

The successful candidate will join an active research team within the well-regarded Research Centre for Optimal Health and have the opportunity to work and gain novel skills in the field of quantum biology. The role will primarily be laboratory based. The successful candidate will prepare and assist with experiments and take a role in organisation and running of the laboratory, including safety management, procurement of lab equipment and consumables. You will also be expected to assist with upkeep and maintenance of project equipment and in the training and informal supervision of students.

You will have a degree or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related subject and experience of practical laboratory research, with skills in mammalian cell culture, and experience of assays and microscopy.
