  • This post is part-time, 10.5 hours per week and fixed term for one year. The salary stated in the salary details section is the pro-rata amount, the full time salary would be £47,732 to £52,867. 

    The University of Westminster is seeking a COST Action Project Coordinator (Grant Holder Manager) to provide financial, administrative, and coordination support for COST Action CA24134 – OBSERVISTA, a pan-European research network investigating innovative strategies for repurposing urban vacant spaces ('terrain vague') across 25+ participating countries (see https://www.cost.eu/actions/CA24134/ )

    The post holder will be the primary user of the e-COST platform, processing travel reimbursements and grant claims within strict COST deadlines, coordinating international networking events, administering Management Committee and Core Group meetings, monitoring budget expenditure, and supporting the preparation of financial and progress reports. The role requires careful attention to regulatory compliance with COST Association rules and University finance procedures.

    This is a specialist coordination role suited to someone with experience of working within a Higher Education institution or similar complex organisation, managing multiple deadlines within external regulatory frameworks, and coordinating meetings and events involving international stakeholders. Knowledge of COST Actions or similar European research programmes is desirable. The post holder will receive comprehensive training from the COST Association, including mandatory in-person training in Brussels.

    The role is funded by the COST Association and is based primarily on remote working, with occasional on-campus presence required.
