The high demand for our courses means that we are constantly searching for new talent. This time we need to hire new academics, to start as soon as possible.

The Westminster School of Media, Arts and Design is seeking a lecturer to play a leading role in the delivery of television theory at undergraduate level. 

Following restructuring and successful research bids, the School is seeking to further develop its capacity in teaching and research and is seeking knowledgeable, flexible candidates willing to teach across a wide range of topics. Expertise in television theory and research techniques are essential and some Industry practice would be an advantage. Of particular interest are applicants with a scholarly specialism in television audiences, industry or factual/reality programming

As a talented and skilled educator, and an expert in your specialist field of television theory, you will have a relevant PhD or will have recently submitted your Phd for examination. You will also have substantial relevant teaching and/or professional experience (e.g in industry, consultancy) and a developing research profile, preferably with existing research publications. You will be capable of contributing to module and course leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. 

This is an excellent opportunity for early-career applicants who are passionate about teaching first and foremost, but also have the ambition to build a research identity.  You will be ultimately be expected to develop a research portfolio and undertake a variety of scholarly activities contributing to the output of Westminster’s world-ranked Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM)
