Mental Health Adviser

This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week

The Mental Health Adviser will support students with serious or enduring mental health problems who experience challenges maintaining their wellbeing and to play a role in safeguarding and protection of vulnerable students through direct intervention, signposting or referring to specialist services.  

The post holder will be involved in assessing and supporting students where there is concern about a student’s fitness to study, where emotional or mental health problems are affecting their academic progress. A relevant professional qualification and significant relevant work experience is essential.

The Counselling Service currently operates across 2 university sites: at the Marylebone and Harrow Campuses. The post holder is expected to work across university site sites and to occasionally work outside normal working hours in connection with the duties of the role. Due to the current pandemic, the Counselling Service is supporting students remotely. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check.
