This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week 

International Student Mobility is a high priority for the University of Westminster. We understand the positive impact that international experience can have on an individual’s future employment prospects, and so run a number of outward mobility programmes, utilising both internal and external funding sources. As a manager of the Student Mobility Team you will have a key role in the University’s Global Mobility Team which has responsibility for the development and effective delivery of the University’s outward mobility activities. Your role will be to manage the team to deliver sector best practice Erasmus+, Turing, international and short-term mobility programmes. 

You will have worked or studied abroad and have a proven track record in both people management and management of all aspects of outward mobility programmes, with a particular focus on successful management of Erasmus+ and in attracting other sources of funding to support outward mobility activities.

You will demonstrate a dynamic, enthusiastic and enterprising approach to your work and also to the management of others.  You will show an ability to motivate others to achieve their goals whilst also effectively delivering on a busy and demanding workload, as well as conflicting priorities.

You will lead the team to develop customer-focussed programmes and the systems and processes for their effective delivery. As part of this, you will manage the development of the University’s exchange agreements under the direction of the Head of Global Mobility & Study Abroad. 

You will work across a broad portfolio of clients, both internal and external, and across varied levels of seniority and cultures. You will possess exceptional prioritisation and communication skills.

You will have an excellent knowledge of university administration systems and processes as well as the external legal and regulatory environment governing outward mobility and have the ability to manage the University’s programmes to ensure compliance.

Alongside the people management aspects of this role, your role will have a strong administrative focus, so it is important that you have experience in maintaining and implementing robust administration and management systems and that you possess a high level of organisational, problem-solving and IT skills.
